"Rock of Ages"

After many discussions with myself, I've decided to keep this one!!  It truly speaks to everything I have attempted to do with my work and is a shining example of my goals as an artist.  It hangs over my mantle at home, as I've seldom sent it outside my home for exhibits and special event shows.  This "Rock" was found on the Apache Loop, east of Phoenix, Az, from my 2002 Arizona trip into the backlands!!  I felt the scene had unusual power and only hoped I could do the scene justice!!  As the light moves around the room where it hangs, the atmosphere in the painting seems to change from morning to sunset atmosphere!  ... I have no idea how I accomplished that... but it is a joy to behold!  I hope you enjoy looking at it !!
