SUNLIGHT  AND  SHADOWS  ON  THE  BLANCO

This scene is a stretch of the Blanco River, east of Wimberley, Texas.   The Blanco River is a beautiful river that flows through the Texas Hill Country.  I have painted several views of the river, as have many other artists!   I've run across several other artists' works who have each stood at exactly the same spot to photograph their favorite views of this river.   This particular view is out Flight Acres Road, after crossing a couple of earlier "low water crossings", finally ending here, as you enter the old campground called "Little Arkansas".  I think the campground is closed now but you can still get to this spot on the river! 

This painting remains in my personal collection... someday I might part with it, but for now, I'll share it with you here on the website!
